There is so much power in our breath. If more people changed how they breathe, there would be far less pain and far more joy and beauty on the planet. When we learn to breathe fully and freely, we can master a force of the universe that gives us a deeper, truer understanding at a higher vibration.

We are the most pure version of ourselves when our breathing is free and unrestricted. As we engage in life, we transform our breathing pattern as a reflection of how life events affect us. Fear, anxiety, anger, grief and lack of trust all play an important role in your breathing patterns.

You are how you breathe.

We restrict our breath when feeling fear, reducing the space for understanding and love. Shallow or restricted breathing does not allow us to express our full potential.

There can be no hatred or fear when we breathe deeply; there is only room for light and love at this higher vibration.

This state of higher vibration allows us to rediscover our true nature and awaken us to who we really are — who we were when we took our first breath.

What is
Transformational Breathing

Transformational Breath® is a self-empowering healing process that creates great transformation in one’s life. Transformational Breath is a dynamically powerful technique that utilizes a high vibrational energy force created by a specific breathing pattern. The three levels of Transformational Breath allow us to breathe better, have more energy, feel more peaceful and loving, and ultimately attain higher levels of consciousness.

As the founder of Transformational Breath Foundation and the co-creator of the Transformational Breathing process, I have had 30 years of working extensively with the breath, with over 10,000 people individually and 100,000 plus in groups. I have come to understand quite clearly how Transformational Breath can improve your health, well-being and profound enjoyment of life.

How does Transformational Breath work? The life-altering motion in Transformational Breath is based on the universal principle of entrainment that simply states that a lower vibrational pattern can permanently be changed into a higher frequency by coming into contact with a higher vibrational energy source. That is why you feel lighter and clearer after being bathed with the higher vibrational energy that Transformational Breath brings. Transformational Breath accesses our electromagnetic field at the cellular level and creates permanent healing and transformation.

There are three distinct levels of Transformational Breath. The first level has to do with opening and clearing restricted breathing patterns, or basically learning how to breathe more effectively and easily. Most people only get a small percentage of air capacity due to closed and restricted breathing patterns. In Transformational Breathing, we know that the amount of air we can bring into the body is directly related to the amount of good we can accept in life. As we open and expand our breathing, not only do we have more energy and support for the body’s natural healing abilities, we greatly improve our capacity to receive and experience more good. To the degree that the breath is open and flowing, we are in the flow of life. Easterners have known for thousands of years that the life force’s primary means of access into the body is through our breathing.

The second level of Transformational Breath deals with clearing some of the major reasons why we shut down our breathing to begin with. This second level is effective with healing traumas and negativity in the subconscious mind. This includes old unexpressed emotions sometimes called repressions: negative beliefs, old tapes and past memories, all of which are stored on a cellular level. One of the primary ways to keep them “stuffed” in the subconscious is to shut down and control our breathing. We can reverse this by breathing into the closed places and letting go where we hold onto the breath. With this process, we actually bring up the old emotions, thoughts and memories, and by continuing to breathe into them, integrate these repressions into a higher energy form, thereby creating permanent resolution of these suppressed energies.

In clearing the subconscious mind with Transformational Breath, major areas of dysfunction are dealt with and healed, such as traumas from birth and early childhood, unconscious death urges, parental and authority issues, patterns of self-sabotage, and all other negativity in the subconscious from this and other lifetimes. Transformational Breath is the most effective and joyful means of clearing the subconscious mind available on the planet today!

Once the lower subconscious begins to open and clear, it creates an opening to the higher subconscious, which is the level of soul or our spiritual awareness. This enables us to utilize the third level of Transformational Breath, which is consciously connecting with our higher aspects of conscious reality. Sometimes in level three, people actually have mystical experiences as they become aware of other dimensions and higher aspects of self. All three levels of Transformational Breathing happen in every session, although how much time we spend in each level will vary depending on our individual specific needs. One thing is for certain: every time we do a Transformational Breathing session, we become lighter and clearer, and we permanently raise our vibrational frequency.

You may be  wondering how Transformational Breath differs from other breathing processes such as Rebirthing. Rebirthing primarily utilizes upper chest breathing and works on integrating the birth trauma. Transformational Breath uses the full diaphragmatic breath and resolves all incarnational traumas. Transformational Breath uses hands on, sound, and conscious invocation to create more effective and complete resolution.

Dr. Judith Kravitz first experienced conscious breathwork in the mid-seventies through the breathing practice known as Rebirthing. This type of breathwork was designed to release various traumas sustained by individuals during birth.

She was then guided to combine conscious breathwork with her healing practice as a counseling minister. As Judith began doing breathwork with her clients, she received insights for making it more effective, powerful and lasting. Over time, enough changes were made in the form, consciousness, techniques and intention of her practice of breathwork that she named the new process Transformational Breath.

Today, Transformational Breath is taught and experienced as a powerful self-healing modality. This technique has expanded beyond Leonard Orr’s Rebirthing and Dr. Stanislav Grof’s Holotropic Breathwork. It is a global breathwork success story.

Judith integrated various principles from her doctoral studies in metaphysics, Kundalini Yoga, breath analysis, sound healing, body mapping, and other healing and spiritual principles to develop Transformational Breath, the most effective therapeutic breathwork training system known today.
